Granted, she prefers to include, in her photos, one of the many stuffed cats that join us on our walks.

We saw Star Lilies in two different shades. The first, had green veins in the white petals.

The second, had white petals with yellow centers.

Western Hound’s Tongue with a bit of spider web.

Indian Warrior

Huckleberry – the flowers are waxy and beautiful.

Does anybody know what these are?


This photo was probably taken in the late nineties. The tree still looks relatively healthy.

This is the same tree today, February 8, 2009. I didn’t even know that the tree had died.

To give a perspective on size, I had my grand daughter stand by the tree.

I found out today that Tom, the jovial ranger at the Sky Oaks Ranger Station, died last summer. It was a sad day up on Pilot Knob.
